The IWC Aquatimer Deep Two watch is one of four new IWC Aquatimer watches 2009 and also the flagship product in terms of technical equipment.
As the successor of the IWC Aquatimer Deep one, it has equipped with a mechanical depth gauge and a maximum depth indicator. The depth gauge is located on the perimeter of the dial with two indicators. The blue one is for the actual depth while the red one is for maximum depth(up to 50 meters). This function is achieved through a highly sensitive membrane which is built in the crown at the left side of the case. The membrane transmits water pressure to a lever mechanism that controls the two indicators. The red indicator will hold its set before it is released through the button below the left crown.
The IWC Aquatimer Deep Two watch has a brushed stainless steel case that is 46mm at diameter. In days depressed economic times, IWC adds bright blue and red to this watch to heighten peoples days. The bezel features blue at the first 15-minute section and masculine knurled edge as well as the sapphire crystal cover that extends from dial part. The uni-directional rotating bezel allows the wearer to measure his diving times with graduated scale. The case back Deep Two is adorned with an intricate relief engraving featuring a diver's helmet.
This black dial features large hands toned with red rims that brings a touch of sporty feel. Together with hour makers, three hands offers highly legible time reading all the day round and underwater thanks to the sufficient coating of Superluminova material.
Aquatimer Deep Two watch is powered a 30110 self-winding movement which controls the date display at 3 and the central smooth sweeping seconds with a hack function. It is water resistant to 120 meters.
Deep Two is completed by a stainless steel bracelet or a black rubber dive strap.Both strap and the the included extended hook and-loop strap for diving can be easily exchanged with the new bracelet quick-change system.
