The world renowned jeweler Cartier is most famous for its jewelry and watch designs since 150 years ago. In the 1980s, Cartier while looking for ideas to provide clients with a more comprehensive fashion package to match their design in jewelry and watch, Cartier decided to expand its business into the fragrance industry. With the initial idea of creating a unique scent that will definitely go with their jewelries and watches, Cartier embarks on their long and hideous journey in the fragrance industry. Starting with the first fragrance, the Santos de Cartier, the Cartier Perfume had built a reputation for producing one of the most elegant scents that are versatile and luxurious. Example of the fragrances from Cartier Perfumes are Must de Cartier perfume, Eau de Cartier perfume and the delicious Delices de Cartier perfume.
One of the perfumes that portrayed such characteristic is the So Pretty perfume that was launched in 1995. The designer behind this perfume is Jean Guichard. The perfume is known for its feminine, joyful and a little aristocratic personality. It has classy scents more suitable for a young lady, rather than mature women as what some people thought.
So Pretty is also a little formal yet warm when dry down with a sensual floral-woody scents. It is so well balanced that it will melt even the most difficult body chemistry. The Floral notes are very well refined and elegant, while the woods maintain the stability of the whole blend. It is slightly powdery and warm with the finely cut sandalwood note that is not bitter at all.
It is the perfect romantic scent for the upscale dating that needed the added elegant sensuality. The eau de toilette version is very enjoyable and strong without overpowering whereas the eau de parfum version is more intense and thicker that is more suitable for the cold winter night. The eau de toilette (edt) and eau de parfum (edp) version are available in the 1.6oz and 1.7oz spray bottle respectively.
