Isle of Wight-based RFEL is launching two form factors of its Halo video processing solution.

Halo products are intended to provide low-power real-time surveillance video processing at source in defence,  security and industrial applications.

As they are designed and manufactured in the UK, they are not restricted by American ITAR export regulations.

The new versions are a system-on-module small form factor board and a PCI Express-based XMC board, both aimed at unmanned vehicle systems.

“We have developed HALO to solve the data bandwidth problem at the root: at the sensor payload, so that the available communications’ bandwidth of the platform can be used to best effect,” explained RFEL CEO Alex Kuhrt.

The products are on show at AUVSI in Washington DC in August.
