1. The One-Minute idea to stop being bullied!


There are many cases now days of bullying. It can happen at school, at home, in sport or at work. Can you do anything to stop this, if you are the one being bullied Yes you can; you can become confident on the inside and show it on the outside.

When you act confident, people see you as confident, even if inside you are unsure how you feel. You can change and become confident and choose to let go of being bullied, be free, empowered and enjoy life.

To act confident, even if you get bullied, do the following actions:

Say to yourself "I am confident at school (or in the place where it occurs)". It is best to say this while looking in a mirror. If you do not feel confident, then pretend you are, as the mind does not know the difference between reality and make believe.
Stand up tall with your shoulders back. Look up and clench your fists a few times to get the blood pumping.
Next time you are going to the place, where in the past you were bullied; repeat these steps and things will improve.

2. Did you know

I was talking to a friend the other day who told me of a study that was done. The Police got some criminal's who had been charged with bag snatching. They were put into a room and told to watch a video that was being taken of people in the street below. In watching the people below, the bag snatchers identified the people whose bag they would try and steal and why.

The interesting result of the study showed that the main way the bag snatches picked up on who to target was due to the way the person looked. Usually the person with the bag was concerned about their handbag and so tried to keep their bag safe. They did not look at anyone, in fact they usually looked down. They tried to ignore the situation, and hoped all would be ok.

The bag snatches would target those people who demonstrated through their behaviour a lack of confidence, fear and uncertainty: This behaviour would mirror the person's thoughts. This is what the exercise in section 1 shows.

Have you seen the DVD "The Secret", if you get a chance watch it. At about the 10 min mark of the film, there is a story about a person who felt he was being bullied. The story shows how he changed it around. This demonstrates what we bring into our lives, and how we can change it.

3. How to improve your self confidence!

From section 1, I explained how you can quickly show yourself as being confident. But what happens when inside you feel like you are really a quivering tub of jelly. How do you change the inside as well as the outside

One of my past teacher's use to say "it what's on the inside that counts, and it can always improve". Changing how we feel inside is often just a matter of understanding and knowing how.
First, you need to work out what you want. What specifically do you want when you are in the situations where you are being bullied If your answer is "I don't want to be bullied", then all you have told me is what you do not want. I asked you what you want. Clients I worked with often discover that they are not getting what they want because they do not know what they want! If you do not know then you will never be able to have it.

So, stop for a moment and think. What is it you really want when you are in that place How do you want to feel Is it a feeling that you have felt before, like peace, calm or happiness Write down what you want, be very clear in your mind.

Now that you are clear on what you want, you can now go in and get it. What does that mean Well if you want to have peace, then imagine being at peace inside. If at school, you might imagine that you feel peaceful, and happy as you play with the people whose company you enjoy.
If people are bullying you, it could be mentally or physically or both. If it is physically, then you need to get authority figures involved. This may be the principal or teacher of the school, your leader at work or even the police.

If it is mental, then you need to release the negative feelings inside of you that you feel when being bullied. You then replace them with the positive feelings you specified in the paragraph above.

As you act with confidence and bring it into yourself, then you will attract confidence and peace into your world. Things change not because the external changes, but because you change internally. So grasp the internal change and see how the external reorganizes itself. Hypnotherapy can help you to gain that confidence at the subconscious level.
